Smart phones can control everything. There are apps for doorbell cameras, thermostat monitoring, feeding your pets treats while you’re at work, and more. In recent years the pool industry has been making headway into the high-tech world, making maintenance super simple and user friendly for all pool owners.
The pHin Smart Water Care Solution is a product that monitors your pool’s chemistry and relays that information to its app on your smart phone. This enables you to check your swimming pool’s chemistry and temperature while you’re out of town, at work, or from the comfort of your own couch. It takes the guess work out of testing your water and prevents you from having to make a trip to the pool store to have them test your water for you. When your chemicals get out of balance, pHin’s app sends you a notification on your phone with information and dosage recommendations to get your swimming pool back in tiptop shape.
The Dolphin Premier by Maytronics pool scrubber is an electric pool scrubber that detects foreign debris in your swimming pool and gets to work cleaning it up. Different from traditional pool sweeps, the Dolphin actually scrubs the walls of your swimming pool and attacks the source of algae outbreaks. The tangle-free cord also allows the Dolphin to clean the pool unencumbered.
If swimming year-round is your thing, the HeaterReader is a wireless device that hooks into your swimming pool’s heater and pump system and allows you to control the temperature of your pool from your phone at the touch of a button. In Louisiana this is especially beneficial as the weather can be in the 80s one day and the 30s the next. Keeping your pool at a constant temperature year-round allows you to get the most out of your pool. In fact, all these gadgets make swimming pool maintenance simple enough that it frees up more time for pool fun!
