When comparing pool service companies, it can be tempting to go with big names. Ones that none of your family or friends have had personal experience with rather than a local pool company. Unfortunately, the business grows so much with big companies that the family-friendly environment goes by the wayside when a corporation buys it up.
While they still claim that they're "locally renowned" or have a "family-friendly" setup, customers will see a different professional with each service call. In stark contrast, with a local pool company that's family-run, clients will see a familiar face with each repair or maintenance call.
In turn, you can develop rapport and establish trust with the tech so that you're comfortable with them and their service.
Why Choose A Local Pool Company vs. National Chains?
Many people are choosing a local pool service over the big-name brands to build their pool and continue with maintenance and repairs. You’ll find it easier to develop credibility with a family-owned and operated local company than with a corporation.
Local businesses tend to have a higher retention rate. This allows you to see the same tech instead of the business having to subcontract work out. So, with a big chain, you may never see the same staff member twice, making it difficult to establish trust.
The local builder offers better, personalized service for you. They will deliver a wide range of materials and can provide warranties promptly. With a chain, you can wait a considerable amount of time for supplies to arrive, for repairs or maintenance, or to be equipped with a warranty list.
