For many people who work full time, the idea of packing up and going on a hectic trip is the last thing they want to do.  Planning trip activities, packing the appropriate clothes and toiletries, then spending hours upon hours in a vehicle or on a plane: all can be more exhausting than a typical week at work.  That’s where a staycation comes in.  What is a staycation, you ask?  A staycation is a vacation in which you stay home.  Sleep in, lounge around the house, visit your favorite local shops, etc.  But what makes a staycation even better?  A swimming pool in Lafayette, LA.

If you want to spend your staycation by yourself, stock up on your favorite drinks and fruit and grab yourself an ice chest to keep pool side.  Whether you plan to lounge on your swimming pool tanning shelf or float on an inflatable, listen to music or read a book; a relaxing day or two in the pool is sure to replenish your energy reserves. 

If you have a family with children, you can plan fun activities. Make fruit smoothie popsicles and cut up cheese and fruit for easy poolside snacks.  Simple pool toys like diving toys, squirt guns, and more can keep the kids active and entertained for hours.  Get dry erase boards to score dives or cannon balls and have kids and adults compete.  However you choose to spend your staycation, a swimming pool is sure to turn your time off into a time to remember.
